Nairobi is one of the leading and most influential cities in Africa. It is a cosmopolitan, cultural hub and the beating heart of East Africa. It is the only city with a National Park.

Start your day as early as 6 am by visiting the Nairobi National Park then proceed to The David Sheldrick and end your day at the Giraffe Centre.

The Nairobi National Park & Giraffe Centre

Nairobi National Park famously known as ‘The World’s Only Wildlife Capital” Kenya’s first ever National Park is a unique and unspoilt wildlife haven within sight of the city’s skyline. Buffalo, zebra, giraffe and plenty of antelopes and gazelles can be seen roaming in these open plains with a section of highland forest as well as stretches of broken bush, deep, rocky valleys and gorges with scrub and long grass. If you are lucky, you may spot the Lion and Rhino. There are over 300 bird species which includes the Secretary bird, crowned cranes, vultures, peckers and many more.​

The Giraffe Centre is the creation of the African Fund for Endangered Wildlife (A.F.E.W Kenya), a Kenyan non-profit organization. Their main purpose is to educate Kenyan school children and youth on their country’s wildlife and environment, as well as give local and international visitors an opportunity to come into close contact with the world’s tallest species, the giraffe. It is home of the Rothschild Giraffe. You will get a chance to feed them under the supervision of a trained staff member.

The David Sheldrick

The Sheldrick Wildlife Trust is one of the pioneering conservation organizations for wildlife and habitat protection in East Africa. Best known for their work with elephants, operating the most successful orphan elephant rescue and rehabilitation program in the world. While the Orphan’s project is the heart of the organization, it cannot exist in isolation and over the last 45 years the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust has developed an extensive, multi-faceted approach to conservation to ensure a greater and long-lasting impact for wildlife. This rescue & rehab center for orphaned elephants is open to the public for viewing mud baths & feeding for only 1 hour daily from 1100hrs to 1200hrs. Guests are advised to arrive at the gate by 10.30am. Pre – booking is required.

After breakfast, proceed to Karura forest located in Nairobi, just a short distance from the city center for a refreshing hike. Once there, you’ll explore lush trails, breathtaking waterfalls, and ancient caves. 2 Days 1 Night Amboseli Safari Package​

Overview

This safari itinerary covers Amboseli National Park; at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro. Spot herds of Elephants, cheetahs, buffaloes, wildebeests, antelopes and different kinds of bird species. Experience the rich culture of the Maasai people by visiting one of their Villages (Manyatta).​

Day 1: Nairobi – Amboseli

Pick up from Nairobi hotel or Airport in the early morning. Depart Nairobi for Amboseli National Park, a drive of less than 5 hours to Amboseli, which lies at the floors of Mount Kilimanjaro. You will arrive with a short game drive, proceeding to your lodge for check-in and have lunch. Later afternoon more game drives. Mount Kilimanjaro offers scenic backgrounds for photography Elephants, Lions, Cheetah, and Buffalo can be seen at the swamp area. Later dinner and overnight at Amboseli Sopa Lodge.​

Day 2: Amboseli National Park – Nairobi

Rising early for good views of Mount Kilimanjaro before clouds build up over the summit, we set off for another stimulating ‘Spice’ game drive. Amboseli is an excellent place to view a multitude of wildlife, including everything from Wildebeest to Giraffes to Baboons. Optional visit to a Masai village is planned after breakfast. Maasai warriors are famously known as the proud nomadic tribe whose legendary prowess in battle and single-handed acts of bravery in fights with the wild animals are known across the world. A visit reveals the singing and dancing that are part of their daily lives and sacred rituals. A glimpse into their homes and social structure is a poignant experience. Midday return at lodge for lunch, followed by a short game drive en-route off Amboseli and drive to Nairobi. You will arrive Nairobi in the evening afterwards drop off at your respective hotel or Airport.

2 Day Hells Gate and Lake Naivasha Safari Package

Overview

This is a 2 days adventurous trip to Hell’s gate and Lake Naivasha. It is a break from the city life. Participants will explore Hell’s gate National park which is known for its dramatic cliffs, deep gorges, and geothermal activity. Just a short distance away, Lake Naivasha a stunning freshwater lake located 100 kilometers northwest of Nairobi beckons with its tranquil waters and breathtaking scenery. Home to over 400 bird species, including majestic fish eagles and vibrant kingfishers, the lake is a paradise for bird lovers. Visitors can also spot a thriving population of hippos lazily basking in the shallows.​

Day 1: Nairobi – Hell’s Gate National Park​

After breakfast depart Nairobi by road to Hell’s Gate National Park. Arrive at Hell’s Gate National Park after an hour’s drive. Once at the Park, you have the option of a game drive in a Safari vehicle or take bikes into the park. Cycling in the Park is a great adventure as you get to ride the bikes for 7 Kilometers before resting at a ranger’s post. After a brief stop at the rangers post you leave the bike and start a walking safari (optional) for 3 hrs. Enjoy the spectacular views of the gorge. The park provides a variety of wildlife, unusual flora and many species of birds and is the only Kenyan Park where climbing, walking and biking are allowed. Animals seen here include Bushbucks, Dik Diks, Gazelles, Gnus, Hartebeests, Impalas, Klipspringers, Buffaloes, Hyraxes, Zebras, Hyenas, Jackals, Mongooses, Baboons, Monkeys and Porcupines amongst others. Afterwards have lunch at a local restaurant within the part spend the afternoon enjoying various activities such as walking or cycling after proceeding to Lake Naivasha Resort for dinner and overnight stay.​

Day 2: Lake Naivasha – Nairobi​

After breakfast proceed to Lake Naivasha, a beautiful freshwater lake, fringed by thick papyrus with Hippos lazing in the lake and Herbivores grazing on the shores. Bird watching includes Grey-capped Warbler, Spectacled Weaver, Brimstone Canary, Red-billed Fire finch and 350 other species. Activities include Boat trips on the lake or a nature walk on crescent Island(optional) where you reach Wildebeest, Zebra and Giraffes from close. Lunch followed by return to Nairobi arriving later in the day with drop off at place of your choice.
