This special edition of ‘Sayansi’ is a product of three activities (science cafes, story grants and support to cover COP29 in Baku) done in collaboration with CGIAR GENDER Impact Platform and the Climate Impact Platform in conjunction with International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI).

The writers have demonstrated that while looking at the global pedestal for solutions to the climate crisis, a great percentage also lies in climate-smart agriculture and gender inclusion in the grassroots. Africa is indeed the continent with immense climate solutions.

Through this initiative, MESHA and the CGIAR Gender and Climate Change Platforms have demonstrated that journalists are not just mouth pieces in the climate change discourse but also key change agents.
