All the entries must be submitted to info@meshascience.org
“These awards provide an incentive and motivate journalists to write accurate and impactful science stories ranging from HIV prevention biomedical research stories to gender and climate change stories,” says Aghan Daniel, MESHA Chief Executive Officer in a press statement.
MESHA, he said, is taking steps toward institutionalizing the awards to maintain energy around science reporting purposely for the members of the 20 year old leading African media network.
In the press release, Aghan noted it was time to recognise journalists aligned to MESHA (Kenya); HEJNU (Uganda), TAMWA (Tanzania), JournAIDS (Malawi), MESICA (Zambia) and Health Communicators Forum (Zimbabwe).
The deadline for submitting the stories for the competition is March 2, 2026 at 4pm Kenyan Time.
